Tri-ang No. 61 Dolls House @ £89.00 SOLD
This is a very nice example of a circa 1950s Tri-ang No 61 Dolls House in 1/16th scale, mostly in original and superb condition. The house is of wooden construction with all opening metal windows intact. It is front opening with one small room downstairs and one long room upstairs, plus a garage with opening double doors to the right and a side porch to the left. Both the porch and garage still have the brick flooring paper intact. The opening wooden side kitchen door is also present via the porch, so too the bench at the back of the porch.
One observation with regards to the garage doors…both are stained brown on the front and green on the back. However the right garage door has scored planks down the front but the left door does not. I am assuming that one of the doors is a replacement, although the previous owner was puzzled by it?
The interior floor and wallpapers are all present and correct, the floral wallpapers are quite pretty indeed. It is so pleasing to have them still present and in such good condition. The windows even have the striking red material curtains still in situ.
The label is still visible on the back and the roof appears to be in good condition. All the gabling is present. Refreshingly both chimneys are present, so too the wooden steps. The stenciling on the front and the exterior is in good condition. Overall this is in a good played with condition, just a little scuffing to paint work and roof edges.
Measures 19″ wide at base x 10 3/4″ deep at base x over 17″ high to top of chimey.
Recommended to be collected in person from me here in Thame (Oxfordshire) at a mutually agreed time, but this could also be posted within the UK by Parcelforce if necessary.
