Old Potting Shed Scene In Miniature Workshop – 18th – 20th November 2020
DUE TO THE PROPOSED CLOSURE OF DENMAN COLLEGE, THIS WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER, IS AT RISK OF BEING CANCELLED. IF THIS DOES HAPPEN THEN I AM HOPING TO RUN THIS WORKSHOP (POSSIBLY AS A WEEKEND WORKSHOP IN THAME) IN 2021. AS THIS PROJECT PROTOTYPE DEVELOPS, MORE PHOTOS WILL APPEAR ON HERE. THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN CREATED USING AS MUCH RECYCLED MATERIAL AS POSSIBLE.
This is a unique and realistic interior scene of a vintage style potting shed in 1/12th scale, using as much recylced material as possible. You will learn alternative techniques using a variety of recylced materials to create an illusion of old stone walls, flagstone flooring and aged wooden panelling. The scene will also include a rustic wooden door, an old wooden workbench plus a dusty old window, shelving and all kinds of relevant vintage style accessories. This is a versatile scene and you will have the scope to extend your creativity as much or as little as you wish. The photos above shows the project prototype still as it currently stands in mid construction, the background is complete but am currently in the process of creating the potting table and accessories. Most of the materials used to date includes recycled cardboard, packaging, egg boxes, sand and paint! As the project progresses further still, more photos will appear on here.
