Antique German Ceramic Bathroom Suite @ £22.00
Here is a lovely ceramic bathroom suite, but what is unusual about this set is that although it is very much like the commonly seen Japanese bathroom suites, at least two pieces are German, believed to date from the 1930s. The bath has MADE IN GERMANY embossed into the bottom and toilet has GERMANY embossed underneath. There is no country of origin on the sink but it is taller than the usual Japanese sink plus a slightly different shape. The toilet has a light varnished wooden lift-up seat. Also, a wooden bath-rack came with this set so am keeping it all together, however I feel that the rack is more pre-loved. All are in an excellent played with condition. Bath measures 4 ½” long x 1 ¾” wide x 1 ½” high. Toilet measures 1 3/8” wide x 1 7/8” deep x 1 5/8” high. Lovely set for an old dolls house.
