This is an unusual and utterly delightful large-scale wooden sofa with original red silk upholstery and matching braiding. It is of German origin and dates around the early 1900s era. It is in original condition, with all four turned wooden feet intact. Another lovely feature of this sofa is the delightful fretwork along the top of each side panel. As you can see, the silk is a little threadbare across the chair back and a little worn on the seat pad but nothing too detrimental, and as this is over 100 years old I think it can be forgiven.  It measures 5 5/8” wide x 2 ½” deep x 2 ¼” sitting height x 5” back height, so quite large in scale. What a gem this is!
