c1920s/30s Art Deco Metal Tea Set Plus Antique Wooden Tray @ £36.00

Here is a delightful c1920s/30s metal tea set, of German origin, very much in the art deco style. I have included this antique wooden tray as it came along with the tea set, so think it is nice to keep them all together. The tea set comprises of a teapot with removable lid, sugar bowl with removable lid, milk jug, three saucers and three teacups. Each piece has an embossed ridged design and art deco shaped handles. The tray is wooden in a brown painted finish, with shaped handles (one at each end). Overall, these pieces are in a relatively good played with condition. One of the lids has a weeny hole, and some of the pieces are showing some wear. But I was told by previous owner that these pieces were much loved and played with by her mother in the 1930s, and then played with herself, as well as her younger sister. How lovely is that! Tray measures 3” long x 2” wide. Teapot measures 1 ½” at widest point x 1 1/8” to top of lid. Sugar bowl measures 1 1/8” at widest point x 1 7/8” to top of lid.  Jug measures ¾” to highest point. Each teacup measures 3/8” high x ½” diameter. Each saucer measures 7/8” diameter. *So these are a larger scale set, please check measurements before ordering. A lovely set!
