c1920s-30s Fretwork Dining Table & Four Chairs @ £19.50RESERVED
Here is a lovely wooden fretwork dining table and four chairs which are believed to have been homemade from plans found in a magazine during the 1920s/30s era, (eg. Handicrafts, Hobbies or Woodworker), although at the time of listing I have not been able to identify the specific design. It has been skilfully made. The tabletop has delightfully shaped edges, plus a central pillar with four scroll feet. Each chair has matching fretwork seat and backs, plus scroll legs. The maker has added decorative pencil detail along all edges which adds to the charm. Overall these are in a good played with condition, just a little wear plus there is a tiny chip near the top of a back leg on one of the chairs but inconsequential. The table measures 4 ¼” long x 2 7/8” wide x 2 3/8” high. Each chair measures 2” wide x 2 1/4” at deepest point (chairback slants backwards) x 3 3/8” back height x 1 5/8” sitting height. Lovely set.
