c1920s -30s Fretwork Dining Table & Two Chairs @ £16.50SOLD
Here is a charming set of two homemade wooden fretwork chairs and dining table, dating from the 1920s/30s. The oval table has a decorative fretwork edging and four scrolled feet. The two fretwork chairs have each four shaped legs and cutaway backs. The maker has added pencil decoration around and along all the edges. Am assuming these have been homemade from plans found in a magazine such as Handicrafts, Hobbies or Woodworker, but at the time of listing I have not been able to identify the design. This is a charming and lovely little set, in a good played with condition. Table measures 3 1/2” deep x 3 7/8” long x 2 ¼” high. Each chair measures 1 7/8” wide x 2” at deepest point x 3 ¾” back height x 1 5/8” sitting height.
