c1930s Young Female Caho Doll (left leg needs rebinding) @ £22.00SOLD
This is believed to be a young female Caho doll, (predecessor to the postwar Caco dolls), from the 1930s. She has a composition head with painted moulded facial features, flat metal painted hands, long painted metal sandal shoes with socks detail, plus flesh coloured thread bound limbs. I believe she is dressed in her original underclothes. Her right leg is a little limp and needs firmly rebinding with flesh coloured thread, otherwise she is in a relatively good played with condition for a doll that is around 90 years old. She measures 4” high. Perhaps someone who is nimble with a needle and thread, could not only breathe new life into this doll by rebinding her leg and making her a new outfit, but also give her a new loving home. Lovely doll, that does not come along quite so readily these days.
