c1950s FGT & Sons Ltd. Gold & Brown Mottled Gas Fire @ £22.00
Here is the 1950s metal gas fire in the original mottled gold and brown finish, with white painted mesh frontage. There is some additional embossed decorative detail at the top and bottom half of the frontage, which adds to the charm of this gas fire. On the back it is marked FGT & SONS LTD – MADE IN ENGLAND. There is also an old price label of 1/- (ie. one shilling) so would have been quite expensive in its day. This is in an excellent played with condition. Measures 2 3/8” high x 1 3/8” wide.
