1/2 Day – Miniature Vintage Style Air-Dry Clay Food Workshop @ £50.00
Miniature Vintage Style Air-Dry Clay Food Workshop
Why not join me for a fun three-hour workshop in the privacy of my Thame (Oxfordshire) home, and learn how to use air-dry clay to make vintage style food for your old dolls house or miniature shop, inspired by the old Kaybot and German plaster food that many of us had in our own childhood dolls houses. You will be provided with a packet of air-dry clay as part of your kit along with printed instructions, plus you will have use of various cutters, tools, paints & pastels during the workshop. Learn how to use various techniques to make convincing miniature bread, cakes, desserts and other foodstuff for your old dolls house or even miniature shop, including how to use acrylic paint colour to enhance your modelled food items. Scale and form will generally be in the similar exaggerated size as the much-loved vintage plaster food, or simply scale to suit your own project.
Whether you are an experienced crafter/miniaturist or absolute beginner, simply reach your own creative potential and work at your own pace, learning new techniques in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Previous attendees have commented that they prefer the small private class, as they find it less intimidating and feel more confident than if they were in a larger group. Hence, this is being offered as a “one to one” class at a mutually convenient time ( I can be flexible). Also, if there is a group of you, this class is suitable for up to three people maximum. Cost is £50 per person. Please email, ring or text if you are interested.
