Old German Wooden Living Room Furniture Set @ £14.50

Here is a charming little wooden set, of German origin and probably dating from around the 1930s era. It consists of two chairs with original red floral paper upholstered seats. A pedestal table with two tone varnished tabletop. A cupboard with two toned varnished opening door, plus original metal tack handle. Finally, a display cupboard with original striking art deco style paper backing, and two tone varnished front side panels. Both cupboards have a cardboard backing. Condition wise, these are all in a reasonably good played with condition but as you can see, there is some wear plus varnish loss. Plus the tabletop is ever so slightly warped and its foot has a splinter of wood missing, however it still stands nicely. Also one of the chairs has slightly scuffed decorative paper, plus its right side has been reglued back on (not by me) just ever so slightly wonky. But it is little idiosyncrasies such as these that are all part of their history, which adds to their character and just make me smile. This is a useful little set, ok it may be slightly crudely made but it does have real charm. Some of these bits of furniture could be used in other rooms of the dolls house too, not just the living room. Display cupboard measures 2 1/2″ wide x 1 1/8″ deep x 3 1/4″ high. Cupboard with door measures 2 1/2″ wide x 1 1/8″ deep x 3 1/4″ high. Table measures 2 1/8″ wide x 2 1/8″ deep x 1 1/4″ high. Each chair measures 1 3/8″ wide x 1″ deep x 2 1/2″ back height x 1″ sitting height.
