Partially Restored Antique German Wardrobe (Some Damage)@ £18.50
If you are a long-time follower of KT Miniatures, you know that I hate giving up on any little old treasures, and this is one of those pieces.
This is an early 1900s German wardrobe with opening central door and drawer. The other doors and drawers are for effect only and were not made to open. All original metal tack handles are present plus the two delightful soft metal decorative motifs. However, as you can see from the photos, the mirror from the centre door is missing and as I have not been able to find a mirror of the correct dimensions, I decided in the end to glue a tiny panel of antique lace instead. Whoever purchases this can easily remove the lace panel and insert their own mirror if so wished. The back left foot is missing but the wardrobe still stands nicely, plus also the top right panel as the front edge is missing – could be disguised by displaying something on the top side and drape it over slightly? Although it really is not that noticeable at first glance. Due to the condition, this is being offered at a greatly reduced price but still a lovely piece of furniture, with a lot to offer. Measures 4 ¾” wide x 2 ½” at deepest point x 5 ½” at highest point. Bargain piece for someone.
