Rare c1930s Ralph Wright Long Wooden Trestle Table @ £29.00
Here is a piece of social history. This was part of a very special collection made by Ralph & Bertha Wright in the 1930s, who were on the fringes of the Bloomsbury Group. I have kept hold of some of the dark stained pieces, but they have just been sitting in a box unseen for quite some time now. So, I have decided to let them go. This is a bit on the chunky side so please take note of the measurements. Here is a long wooden trestle table in a dark stained finish. Ralph created the wooden toys and Bertha (a skilled artist and miniaturist) would paint them in a highly decorative way. However, as these are all simply in a dark brown stain, I suspect that Ralph simply stained these too, hence I have listed these as made by Ralph. The legs/base have been created with some rather nifty wooden pegs and shaped legs. The wood used is much thicker than a normal more modern reproduction creation, hence I would describe this as being a bit on the chunky side. Measures 8 3/8” long x 3” deep x 2 3/8” high. Overall, this is in a good played with condition, there is a little wear.

Possibly suitable for 1/12th scale dolls house or maybe slightly larger scale, or old dolls house where scale does not matter.
