Unusual Vintage Wall Display Dresser With Embossed Tin Ship Plate @ £12.50
I have placed this item under the General Section as this is not meant for a dolls house, but to hang on the wall. However, I suppose if you have a large-scale dolls house you could use it in various rooms of the dolls house.
This is a rather unusual large-scale vintage wooden dresser in a dark varnished finish. It is meant to hang on the wall for display purposes, via a hanging hole on the back. What makes it even more unusual is the tin plate that has an embossed ship design that is fixed to the dresser, how fabulous is that! One can see the maker’s measured pencil lines on the back, which makes me think that this has been homemade. I suspect that it is from the 1950s/60s era or perhaps even 1970s and could be useful for displaying miniature chinaware, glassware, etc. It is in a good used condition, there is a little wear with some marking plus please note that although there are two upper hanging hooks (for cups/jugs etc.), the one in the middle is missing – but it should not be too difficult to replace if desired. Measures 8” high x 5” wide x 2” deep at base.
