Unusual Wooden Vintage Fireplace @ £16.00

Here is a rather unusual and substantial vintage wooden fireplace, exact age or maker unknown, but it has been well made. The main structure is wooden, the mantel has been nicely shaped and edged with textured wooden coloured wallpaper. So too the top of the fireplace and edging are covered in this same wallpaper. The main pillars of the fireplace are in a dark gloss varnished finish. There is a hand painted lit fire image plus the hearth is covered with heavily varnished vintage brick paper. On the back there is what appears to be a pencil price of 6/11…which makes this pre-decimal (pre 1971). Overall, this is in a relatively good played with condition. There are two symmetrical holes in the base where this would have been nailed into place in a dolls house. Measures 5 1/8” wide x 2” deep x 4” high.
