Vintage Amersham Left Opening Window @ £13.50SOLD
Here is vintage metal window from an old Amersham dolls house. It has a small top fixed window that still has the original acetate glazing, and a main left opening window which is missing the acetate glazing. The lattice opening window is attached to the frame by a long narrow metal rod that runs down the inside right of the frame. The frame is in the original green painted finish and the lattice window inserts are in original white painted finish. As you can see from the photos, the window is in a relatively good played with condition, just a hint of minor rust and very minor paint loss, which is refreshing. So often these windows are often found with major paint loss and rust! Down the bottom right hand corner of the opening window, it has bent ever so slightly, but the window still opens and closes nicely. So, if you have an old Amersham dolls house and missing one of these windows, this in a good opportunity to purchase a replacement, as these are becoming more difficult to find these days intact. The outer frame measures 2 ½” wide x 3 3/8” high. There is a fixing nail hole in each corner of the frame.
