Vintage Celluloid Decorative Basket With Handle @ £9.50SOLD

Here is an unusual but very charming clear celluloid decorative basket with handle, presumably for fruit?  I have no idea of its origin or exact age but the previous owner felt that there was certainly some age to it. To be honest, at first I thought this was glass as it is so delicately made plus the embossed pattern is very pretty. I suppose it could have a variety of uses in the old dolls house kitchen or pantry. Measures approx. 1″ diameter x 1 1/4″ high.
