Vintage Dining Table With Two Drawers & Lift Up Extending Flaps @ £45.00
Here is a truly lovely wooden dining table, possibly oak and quite an intriguing piece. I can find no inscription, so I am only guessing that this was probably made about 40-50 years ago by an artisan/craftsman, simply because the scale is a bit odd and does not conform to scale (it is quite tall for a more modern day 1/12th scale). This has two opening drawers and a lift up flap at each end, which stay up by way of swing supports. The table feet are painted gold to represent castors. The rich patina on this piece is lovely and it is in an excellent condition. I am surmising that this was only used for display purposes and little hands have not touched this. Measures 5” long with flaps downs, with flaps up it measures 7 1/8” long, height is just under 3” and depth is 2 5/8”. So height wise, this is considerably taller than a traditional 1/12th scale table.
