Tri-ang

Vintage Dark Stained Tri-ang Fireplace @ £10.50 SOLD

Here is an instantly recognisable vintage wooden Tri-ang fireplace, with dark stained wooden surround, brick paper and lit fire illustration and metal grate. This is in completely original and relatively good played with condition, however what is delightfully quirky is that whoever made this in the factory, fixed  the brick paper slightly crooked which gives the illusion that the mantelpiece slopes. This just makes me smile! Once in place this will be hardly noticeable. Measures 4 1/2″ at widest point x 3 1/8″ high.

Single White Glazed Small Window & Two Fixing Tacks (From Tri-ang No. 62 dolls house) @ £8.00 SOLD

Here is a single metal window with acetate glazing and two original tiny metal fixing tacks. This came from a Tri-ang dolls house No. 62, the type that has a single window at the side of the front door…which are often missing. So here is an ideal opportunity to replace a missing single window if you have a No. 62.  Please note that the acetate, although present, has come slightly adrift from the main frame on one side, and may need some attention or you may just wish to remove it altogether as some people do. If you like to fiddle then it is meant to slot under the metal side lips…can be done with some careful perseverance. Window measures 2 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ (not including additional measurement of the fixing loops).

Rare Tri-ang c1960s Spot-On Window Components

RARE! c1960s Tri-ang Spot-On Unopened Packet – “No. 1153 Contemporary Small Two Light Window “@ £19.00

This is an extremely rare unopened packet of an all plastic Tri-ang Spot-On Contemporary Small Window, with two panes, neither of which are opening. All seems to be fully intact, including the relevant fixing lugs which I suspect would have easily snapped off during play. So folks….if you have a vintage “A” or “C” Tri-ang Bungalow dolls house missing one of these windows, then here is a fantastic rare opportunity to replace with another one! Also, as these were sold separately by dolls house suppliers during the 1960s, there may be some of you out there who still have in your possession your homemade dolls houses that would have had these windows in too?

In this packet there appears to be two frames and one piece of clear plastic . I assume that the two frames click together via the lugs. As far as I can tell, measuring through the packet plastic, the window frame measures 4 1/8″ wide and 1 3/8″ high.
