c1930s-1950s Britains Round Lead Flower Bed With Spring Flowers @ £55.00

Here is a delightful round lead flower bed filled with spring flowers, all by Britains, dating from between the 1930s and 1950s. This consists of one round lead flower bed and 22 flowers. The flowers simply slot into the holes of the flower bed and you are free to plant how you wish – not necessarily how I have arranged them in the above photos. The flowers supplied with this set comprise as follows: 4 x narcissus, 5 x tulips, 7 x hyacinth, 6 x crocus. All are in a relatively good played with condition, just a little paint loss as seen in the photos. The bed measures 2 ½” in diameter, and underneath it is embossed with the words MADE IN ENGLAND BY BRITAINS LTD LONDON. The tallest flower is the narcissus which measures approx. 1” tall. Although the garden set is 1/32 scale, many people (me included) disregard the scale and use these old lead garden items with our antique & vintage dolls houses of varying scales. If you do not have space around your old dolls house, then maybe you could use this to start off your own lead garden scene. This is a very pretty set, and the photos do not do their colour justice, as their colouring is still incredibly vibrant.
