Vintage German Mantel Clock @ £21.00
Here are two delightful celluloid (or are they Bakelite) mirrors, both came with a 1930s dolls house that was filled with accessories dating from the 1930s to 1950s, so am assuming they are of the same era?
The round mirror with a delightful bevelled edge all the way around, is encased in a cream-coloured round frame. The larger mirror has a brown mottled finish with a sweet little round framed mirror at the top. It is backed with card and has a pencil price of 3/- written on the back. It has a decorative hook to hang something on, plus a hanging loop at the top. I have never handled a piece quite like it before and it is quite unusual. Both are in a good played with condition. The round mirror measures 2” in diameter. The bigger mirror measures 1 ¼” wide x 3 ¼” long, from top of hanging loop right down to the base. Lovely items!
