PREVIOUS WORKSHOP PROJECT – Old Miniature Potting Shed Workshop
Booking Now Closed For This Workshop
Why not come and spend a day in the beautiful historic surroundings of the small barn within the Thame Barns Centre and create a uniquely realistic and nostalgic miniature interior scene of a vintage style potting shed in 1/12th scale. Flagstone flooring, stone walls, a wooden console table and slightly dilapidated wall panelling and ceiling will add to a rustic and realistic effect. As part of the project, you will be making various little accessories too to help set the scene. Except for the console table and beams, most items are made simply from cardboard or card, including the panelling, flagstone floor, stone wall, aged flowerpots and rusty old gardening tools. The scene is versatile enough to be adapted into other kinds of room settings, such as a workshop, old cottage kitchen, perhaps even an old outhouse or wash house.
The main kit will consist of a ready primed MDF room box (12″ high x 10″ wide x 8″ deep ) with sliding Perspex frontage, plus all the materials in kit form needed to make the contents as seen in the promotional photos, including paints and glue.
Whether you are an experienced crafter/miniaturist or absolute beginner, we want you to reach your own creative potential and have fun along the way in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Work at your own pace and due to the complexity of this project you will not complete this project whilst you are here, but you will have a booklet of instructions as part of your kit to take home, so that you can complete your project at your leisure.
