Unusual Cream Wooden Fireplace By B & GC @ £18.00
This is a lovely old-style fireplace, believed to have been purchased from the well known Singing Tree Dolls House Shop in London, during the late 1980s or early 1990s. It has the initials B&GC embossed on the back, but as yet I have not been able to identify these makers. It is of wooden construction in a cream painted finish with gold highlighted decoration and brick hearth detail. There is a mock wooden grate detail. Around the mantelpiece is a piece of fixed old lace with unusual pink paper bow detail. The lace frill is hiding additional gold decoration underneath at the top of the fireplace. Overall, this is in a good used condition. Measures 3 ¾” wide x 2” deep x 3 ¼” high.
